Peter Orville has practiced criminal law since 1984. He worked almost five years in the Broome County Public Defender’s Office. Since going into private practice in 1989, Peter has been one of the most respected criminal defense attorneys in the area. Peter has represented thousands of clients for everything from traffic violations and DWI cases to murder, and everything in between. Peter has been on the board of directors of the New York State Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, a member of the New York State Defender’s Association, and a member of the Criminal Justice Committee of the New York State bar Association and the Broome County Bar Association. For over 20 years he has also taught criminal justice courses at Binghamton University.

Peter A. Orville has taught various continuing legal education (CLE) courses to bankruptcy lawyers in Syracuse, Binghamton and Cooperstown, NY. He has also taught Bankruptcy Law topics at national conferences of NACBA and the National Business Institute. He is a former State Chair of NACBA, board member of the Central New York Bankruptcy Bar Association (CNYBBA), the Broome County Bar Association and the Bankruptcy Law Network. In addition to the organizations listed previously, he is also a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, the New York State Defenders Association and the National Association of Chapter 13 Trustees (NACTT).
